Rev. 22: (14) Blessed are those who wash their robes, so that they may have the right to the tree of life and that they may enter the city by the gates. (15) Outside are the dogs and sorcerers and the sexually immoral and murderers and idolaters, and everyone who loves and practices falsehood.
Robes, washed in the sacrificial blood of the Lamb gives you the right to the tree of life .
Where is the tree of life? Rev. 2:7 says it is in the paradise of God and 22:2 says it is by the river of the water of life in the New Jerusalem.
What if your robe is not washed in the blood of the Lamb; where are you ? You are outside the gate.
Where was the left overs of the sin offering burned? Outside the camp.
Where was the scapegoat, the goat that bore the sin of the people on the Day of Atonement sent? Outside the camp, into the wilderness.
Where was Jesus crucified as he bore our sin? Outside the gate.
Unrepentant, unforgiven unwashed sin will forever leave you outside the gate of the New Jerusalem.
Let Jesus wash your robes and come inside.
