1,000th

Today is post # 1000!

What started on 12/15/2010 as an experiment with this post:  http://wp.me/p1eNsu-r

Has turned into an almost daily endeavor to try and glorify God by edifying his church, particularly Northside Baptist Church, with a biblical world view about theology, life and culture.  Some thoughts have been fairly well done, others not so much.  In this 3 years, 2 months and 7 days, we have:

  1. Been viewed in 74 countries.
  2. 17 people follow us by email, 9 follow us with their personal blog and 54 on Facebook
  3. We have had 21,000+ views and average about 20 per day
  4. We have received 176 comments with Megan being the most frequent (51)

Through all this I hope and pray that God has been honored.  Also I want to thank YOU!

God provides grace through His church.  He has chosen to use people to administer His grace at just the right time, often from unexpected places.  Often when the word seems dry or the closeness to God seems further than it should be, a word or comment from a dear brother or sister would come at just the right time to spark a thought, that the Holy Spirit will illuminate through his word into a blog post.  It is times like these that the closeness is restored and the sweet fellowship is returned.

So I guess you could say I am a little bit selfish. What started as a way to try to encourage and help you, actually evolved into something that helps me!  God works in mysterious ways doesn’t he?

I put this post off all week waiting for some inspiration for a magnanimous 1000th post.  But in the end I just want to thank you and God for the opportunity to participate with you in His Kingdom work between the “all ready and the not yet”.

what sort of people ought you to be in lives of holiness and godliness, waiting for and hastening the coming of the day of God,(2 Peter 3:11b-12a)

Congrats on the website. It is a blessing to me to be able to read the intelligent, thought provoking, heart pricking, scripturally sound content. Thank you Dale!

  2. Amen! I agree with Megan. Many times, by God’s grace, the post would come at the right time and on just the right topic to bring the knowledge, help, support, etc… that I needed. Thank you Dale for your ministry. Please never doubt that your ministry is appreciated. It is a real blessing to me.
